Wells Fargo's independent risk management oversight for information security risk is the Information Security Independent Risk Management Oversight (IS IRM) team, part of Corporate Risk.  Broadly, IS IRM is responsible for oversight of the execution of Wells Fargo’s Information Security Program and for maintaining an independent consolidated view of Wells Fargo's information security risk profile as well as its risk management practices and risk-taking activities.  It is also responsible for prudently challenging Front Line Units recommendations and decisions within the scope of information security risk.

The Information Security Independent Risk Management Oversight team is responsible for developing, implementing and performing Independent Risk Management reviews and credible challenge for the Wells Fargo information security risk-based program, including identifying, analyzing and follow-up of mitigating efforts.  There are two Oversight positions available to work with the New Business Initiative (NBI) independent risk management oversight reviews, assessment and processes with an emphasis on Information Security reputational and customer risk for new and modified Wells Fargo products and services.  This position could also be involved in various other Independent Risk Management Oversight reviews and work efforts.  As part of managing these processes, this position would maintain awareness of frameworks and guidance such as FFIEC, GLBA 501(b), as well as any applicable Wells Fargo information security policies, controls, and programs to help ensure successful Information security Independent Risk Management Oversight and program effectiveness.
