|Working Title||Safety Specialist|
|Position Summary||Under general supervision, assists in monitoring and coordinating general campus safety program, including safety inspections, accident investigations, and safety training.|
|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies and inspectors.
Advanced Excel experience and/or training.
Background in NFPA and OSHA interpretation and application.
Experience with building code and construction safety OSHA requirements.
OSHA 10 Certified.
Experience with governmental procurement processes.
Experience supervising employees.
Experience with a work order tracking system.
