We are seeking an experienced human resource professional to join our growing teams in Tempe, Arizona or Salt Lake City, Utah.  


As a Senior HRBP, you will add to a dynamic HR organization focused on optimizing our talent and culture and promoting the continued success of SVB.  Our Sr. HRBPs are trusted advisors - embedded in their lines of business - who provide integrated guidance and expertise in all HR areas, including employee relations and organizational development.   You will collaborate closely with and leverage the expertise of your colleagues throughout the HR organizations COEs, including SMEs in compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, and talent development.


As the HR expert for your business groups, youll be responsible for:


  • Employee Relations and Performance Management

  • Corporate advocacy

  • Performance review and goal process

  • Policy implementation

  • Succession Planning

  • Learning and Development, including the creation and facilitate trainings to best support your business teams

Skill / Requirements

HR Expertise: 10+ years of Human Resource generalist experience required.  Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, employee relations, organizational development, and training.   Experience in banking or financial services helpful, but not required.  


Business Orientation:  Style and acumen to develop authentic relationships throughout the organization and with your businesses groups.  With confidence, bring an informed POV on HR matters to your business leaders.  Build a deep understanding of business groups specific product/services/value propositions and translate their HR needs within larger context of company success and profitability.


Execution: Ability to influence and build consensus.   Collaborative: actively shares viewpoints and information with colleagues to form recommendations and facilitate teamwork.  Agile and resourceful. Motivated to solve issues with efficiency and creativity.   Strong conflict resolution abilities.   Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment. Adept at managing competing priorities and finite resources. Enjoys constant evolution. Agility - comfort with ambiguity and change.  Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation, and listening).

Education:  MBA/MS preferred.   BS/BA preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, Industrial Relations, or a related field; directly related experience may be substituted. Experience with Workday helpful
