Accountemps is currently anticipating the need for a Payroll Specialist. Our client seeks a candidate who will be primarily responsible for processing payroll and other general accounting responsibilities. Taking initiative and ownership over job responsibilities and apply problem solving skills to achieve results. The successful candidate will be well-organized, and a team player with a high level of work integrity and ethical standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Process payroll for 100+ employees: update records, coordinate payroll deadlines and time sheet reporting, verify accuracy of the payroll, and resolve payroll issues.
* Act as primary liaison between payroll vendor PAYCOM and the organization.
* Primary employee contact for all payroll related issues.
* Ensure all tax withholdings, deposits and reporting are correct, complete and filed appropriately
* Administer employee benefit contributions withholdings.
* Ensure employee reimbursements are processed through payroll
* Reconciliation between Payroll reports and General Ledger accounts
* Manage all labor cost allocations for the organization and update periodically (based on budget process).
* After each semi-monthly payroll, prepare Excel import documents and upload to MIP accounting system.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or equivalent is a plus
* Two or more years of payroll experience is a must
* Must have a high level of attention to detail, meticulous record keeping, and organizational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
