Accountemps is currently anticipating the need for a Payroll Analyst for our client in Central Tucson.
Position Summary:

Utilizing robust system functionality and data management processes, we process a complex payroll for 8,000 employees biweekly. We are constantly striving to build ever greater efficiencies by leveraging our systems, processes and data management tools. To achieve our goals, we need team members with excellent technical skills who are analytic thinkers, detailed and enjoy solving problems in a dynamic, ever changing environment. Payroll experience is a plus, but not an essential requirement to do this job well.

What we’re looking for:
Expert-level Excel skills, including ability to apply logic and advanced functions
System savvy user who enjoys technical details
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles a plus
Proficiency in analyzing data and creating reports
Superior attention to detail and accuracy with a personal commitment to producing the highest quality work
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well those of varying skill levels
Team oriented outlook and willingness to assist in all team objectives
Commitment to a solution-oriented approach to challenges and obstacles
Excellent planning and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple details and timelines including the ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision

What you would do:
Create, manage and update Excel tools for payroll processing
Analyze and audit payroll data
Import payroll data
Reconcile and balance payroll data to output reports
Collaborate with Accounting, IT, and HR departments on company and team objectives
Research and reconcile complex payroll adjustments and tax issues
Provide excellent customer service to all internal customers and stakeholders
