Job Summary (Essential Functions)
The Clinical Support Services Trainer reports to the Clinical Operations Training Manager. The Clinical Support Services Trainer is responsible for supporting the overall training department with regard to the delivery of training in a classroom, on an individual basis, and within all of Peak Vista’s Health Centers. In addition, the Clinical Support Services Trainer will be responsible for supporting new and ongoing training projects, the development and testing of training materials, aiding in the development of processes and procedures in order to optimize new and existing workflows within the Clinical Support Services Departments. This includes, but is not limited to, Resource Navigator, Transitional Care Coordinators, Emergency Diversion Department, and Care Manager roles. The Clinical Support Services Trainer will work in conjunction with departments throughout the organization to ensure all staff are optimally trained on EHR training, audits, and verifying quality assurance standards are being met.

  • Deliver individual and classroom oriented clinical trainings
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • Frequent travel to various local clinics to provide on-site training support
  • Work with external liaison(s), clinical training team, and development teams to identify and communicate enhancements surrounding the EHR
  • Provide support to new employee orientation and additional training
  • Assist as needed with training design and content development
  • Participation in various projects
  • Monitoring class evaluations and assessments for the team
  • Implementation and maintenance of standardization of process, via training and trainings documentation
  • Other duties may be assigned


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Work Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a resource navigator or comparable social service role in a professional healthcare setting required. Minimum of one year of training experience preferred. Project coordination and training content development experience preferred

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): High language, math, reasoning and critical thinking abilities. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and implement a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Due to the administrative, coordination and clerical functions associated with this job, a thorough understanding of word processing, spreadsheet manipulation and processing and exceptional customer service are required. Strong computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.

Other Skills: Ability to flourish independently and in a team management system. Sensitivity to low income, ethnic and other minority communities. Excellent organizational, listening, de-escalation, tracking and documentation skills required.

Certificates & Licenses: A valid Driver’s License in good standing

Physical Demands
Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Must be able to travel to multiple locations.
