Job Summary:

The Risk IT Project Support team is a group of business analysts supporting Americas Risk Management division's projects across Credit Risk, Market Risk, Analytics, Operational Risk, and Compliance. This position will be working alongside the Operational Risk business members, understanding the business needs and driving the documentation, analysis, testing, and communication with technology required for successful projects.

Major Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand risk's needs and translate those into requirements that the candidate will work through with technology teams to deliver. Successful candidate may work either by agile or waterfall methodologies based on project assignments as the bank continues to move toward agile approaches. Role will include analysis on current and future state, creating process flow diagrams, epics and user stories/business requirement documents, perform feasibility studies, create user test plans, user documentation, and conduct user training.

  • Participates in the process of identifying business needs of assigned user areas and translating them into business requirements and data requirements and then collaborates with IT on sourcing for those data requirements. . Conducts user interviews, contacts vendors and performs independent research as required. Uses analytical skills as recognized by industry standards, as well as knowledge of bank operations. Prepares functional requirements and feasibility studies.
  • Prepares test plans, documents test cases, performs testing, reviews results of tests, and identifies further testing required. Exhibits a comprehensive knowledge of testing techniques and the scope needed in a test plan.
  • Demonstrates a good working knowledge of project management techniques and applies these skills to the use of the bank's project methodology. Prepares regular status reports and assists in project management, tracking and reporting.
  • Intermediate professional level role. Develops systems solutions requiring analysis and research. Works on small to large, moderately complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in Operational Risk.

Additional Information:
  • 3 - 5 years of Operational Risk experience, with experience supporting projects
  • Experience in Operational Risk Management required
  • Bachelor's Degree with preference in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or directly related field
  • Ability to query data and perform data analysis required
  • Experience in OpenPages, Archer, and Sharepoint strongly preferred
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall projects preferred
  • Experience using the following tools are a plus: Toad, SAS, Access, Excel
  • Experience working with Data Warehouse is a plus
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Operational Risk concepts and experience with OpenPages and Archer strongly preferred.
