Kleinschmidt Associates is seeking a Human Resources Manager in either our Pittsfield or Falmouth, Maine office.

Qualifications:

  • Possess 5-10 years of HR Management experience; A/E industry or professional services firm experience preferred
  • College Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or (SHRM-CP) certification preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be approachable
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Must understand risk and compliance aspects of benefits administration and have strong working knowledge of Federal and State laws including but not limited to affirmative action, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA and 401(k)
  • Must possess expert technology aptitude with operating a variety of software and other business software such as ADP Workforce Now, access database applications, web-based applications, HRIS, MS Office, and Adobe.
  • Ability to resolve problems with vendors and third-party administrators
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player and supporter in a national, multiple location, professional services firm while maintaining a friendly, helpful, client-service oriented work environment
  • Must possess a valid driver license and high-speed internet services
  • Must travel and acquire authorization for occasional work in Canada
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day general functions and support staff of the Human Resources Department
  • Coordinate and develop training programs offered through Kleinschmidt University
  • Develop an integrated HRIS platform
  • Assist with talent management processes and improvement of tracking systems
  • Support the Human Resources Director with programs and planning as required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as are assigned and as needed
