Position Title Manager, Human Resources (Employee Development)
Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced HR generalist to join our team. This person will have a lead role in the talent acquisition process and on-boarding of new employees, manage the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and serve as an EEO Coordinator. They will also collaborate with the Employment Development Director in the areas of compensation, employee relations, staff development, and other Human Resources projects.

This position works in a typical office environment. With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to sit and type at a computer terminal for up to 8 hours per day with appropriate breaks and perform tasks that require fine dexterity and repetitive motions using the arms, hands, wrists and fingers. Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
* Human Resources Certification preferred.
* 7+ years of Human Resources generalist experience including employee relations, performance management and conflict resolution.
* 5+ years of experience in recruitment.
* 3+ years of compensation experience including drafting job descriptions, position benchmarking and pricing, and survey completion.
* Experience with EEO and AAP programs.
* Demonstrated understanding and ability to articulate, apply and enforce applicable state, federal laws and regulations and internal policies and processes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrating a professional demeanor.
* Strong analytical, organizational and project/program management skills.
* Experience resolving conflict and dealing effectively with people at different levels and from different backgrounds and cultures.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Experience developing and managing relationships and negotiating services with vendors or third party providers.
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Strong ATS software experience required; experience with PeopleAdmin software a plus.
* 2+ years of supervisor or managerial experience preferred.
* Experience in a higher education or a non-profit scientific research organization preferred.
