 HR Coordinator

We are looking for a self-starter with great energy and enthusiasm to join our Corporate Team!

This position's primary focus will be on-location job recruitment and employee relations, which includes traveling to our store locations in the Metro Phoenix.

You will coordinate with our store managers and discuss their hiring needs weekly.  Making sure their open positions are posted and prioritized.
Work on creating on-location recruitment strategies to bring in qualified and gifted talent.
Perform pre-screening interviews either on the phone or on location at Corporate Office or location site and schedule interviews between applicant/store managers if needed.
Conduct reference and authorized background checks on pre-hire candidates.
Follow up on the interview process and hiring selection with store managers.
Maintain applicant tracking database in Paycom, and assist store managers in applicant tracking when needed.
Ensure that new employees are being properly on-boarded in Paycom and all required paperwork is in order and on time.
Work with store managers and assistant store managers with new hire store training and required training checklist forms are turned in to HR in timely matter.
Coordinate with store managers to increase employee retention.
Support store management if needed with exit interviews on site.
Assist store managers on site with employee performance discussions if needed.
Administer employee/employer on the job safety meetings and conduct instruction when necessary.
Administer timely reports to Executive Team on recruiting and employment activity.
Responsible for staying current on the company's organizational structure, personnel policy, federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Complete unemployment claim responses.
Responsible for monthly benefit invoice reconciliations.
Assistant Payroll Administrator with benefit administration and ACA reporting when needed.
Payroll Administrator Backup.
Will receive a per pay period gas allowance OR weekly mileage reimbursement (to be determined by management).

Skill / Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Microsoft office experience required.
  • At least 3 years job recruitment experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of Arizona and California employment laws and practices.
  • Experience maintaining employee digital files required.
  • Knowledge of employee safety and welfare standards.
  • Some Payroll/HR software experience required.
  • Paycom knowledge a plus!!
