    Casa de la Luz Hospice is Seeking a Part Time Human Resources Assistant

    Position is Part Time, 24 Hours/Week

    $15.50/hr-$16.00/hr, DOE

    Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm

    Position Overview:

    Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Assistant coordinates processes and provides administrative support to members of the Human Resources Department.

    Responsibilities

    1. Works closely with the Recruiter to assist with all aspects of the hiring process:
      • Posts position openings
      • Performs application reviews
      • Schedules and conducts interviews (initial phone screens, in-person, hiring manager, etc.)
      • Coordinates the background check, drug screen and reference check processes
      • Verifies licensure/certification
      • Sends welcome letters
      • Produces recruiting summary reports
      • Participates in recruiting events
    2. Coordinates new-hire orientations.
    3. Conducts exit interviews.
    4. Coordinates and tracks 30- and 90-day performance meetings.
    5. Processes referral bonuses.
    6. Coordinates random drug screens.
    7. Performs general customer service functions by assisting employees with requests and questions.
    8. Maintains employee and organization confidentiality at all times.

    Qualifications

    1. High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
    2. Previous customer service and/or administrative experience.
    3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Working knowledge of database management systems preferred. Experience with Sage software and Crystal Reports helpful.

    Skills and Abilities Required

    1. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and change direction quickly.
    2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential situations and information. Must be able to manage conflict and problem-solve.
    3. Ability to effectively communicate, in writing and orally, to a diverse audience (management, employees, prospective employees, etc.).
    4. Strong customer service skills.
    5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
