Meyer Jabara Hotels, an award winning hotel Management Company is seeking an experienced Human Resource Director to support the Executive Team in a multi-state environment.
The Human Resource Director will provide guidance to lead the company Culture and People function. The Human Resource function will guide the development of initiatives that align with the company strategic plans. The Director must be"hands on" with the hotel operations team.
The candidate will be a culture champion that embraces the principles that guide our company culture"The Journey". A culture that creates an environment where our associates accept responsibility and accountability for their success and the success of the team. The candidate must be a respected and trusted leader that is willing to make decision and take risks. This candidate must be a professional who is a strategic business partner who will develop the human resource function at the hotels
Essential Job Functions:
Knowledge of federal laws: EEOC, FMLA, OSHA, ADA, FLSA, and COBRA. Legal guidelines and application of state laws: Family Medical Leave and Paid Family Medical and Safe Leave.
Excellent communication skills and will respond to complaints regarding federal and state laws.
Written policy and procedures to ensure application of new laws. Work with attorneys as required.
Experience working with owners, insurance brokers and third party vendors to establish benefit plans to meet the needs of the associates and owners. Administering medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), and voluntary benefit plans.
Work with auditors regarding benefit plans.
Develop initiatives, and procedures for the successful recruitment, onboarding and retention of successful associates.,
Responsibilities include oversight of the Worker's Compensation program
Other duties as required.
