ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Our Payroll team is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator for our Vancouver Head Office. We have an in-house payroll of approximately 4,000 employees. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the daily payroll operations.

WHAT YOU NEED

    -Payroll knowledge with a minimum of 2 years' experience plus minimum CPA Level 1 Certification
    -Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook required
    -Experience using Avanti or other payroll software is an asset but not required
    -Ability to set, and adhere to, a schedule to meet both individual and team deadlines
    -Focused on results, with a commitment to consistent excellence, accuracy, and attention to detail
    -Uses time productively, maximizes efficiency, and meets challenging work goals.
    -Takes initiative and pursues opportunities aligned with a strong ability to multi-task
    -Strong verbal and written communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Process biweekly in-house full-cycle hourly payroll - approximately 600 employees
    -Process new hires, vacations, and changes in a timely and accurate manner
    -Process terminations and issue online ROEs
    -Prepare monthly reconciliations of payroll accounts
    -Frequent interaction by phone and email with internal & external contacts
    -Various daily and weekly administrative duties as assigned possibly including phone coverage, filing, and mailing
    -Respond to payroll inquiries
