Human Resources Business Partner


Job Purpose or Objective(s): This position provides assistance to the Human Resources Manager in the operation of the business unit's HR Department with the purpose of maintaining an effective and efficient human resource function. Serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Primary Tasks:

-Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
-Manage and resolve routine to mid-complex employee relations issues. Work with Employee Relations team for more advanced issues.
-Provide performance management guidance to managers/supervisors (disciplinary actions, career development, training suggestions).
-Actively participate in leadership team meetings to assess business challenges and opportunities to capitalize on human resources capabilities, development and preparedness. Develop and lead implementation of these solutions.
-Coach management on organizational change dynamics including minimizing transition downturns and increasing trust and confidence in leadership during periods of significant change.
-Conduct/attend regular meetings with assigned areas.
-Provide guidance and input on HR policy, business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
-Develop, implement, and train staff on personnel procedures.
-Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Mentors and trains support staff.
-Perform other duties as may be assigned.
