How this role supports our mission:
The Job Coach provides direct support services to adults with developmental disabilities working through the Group Supported Employee (GSE) program to ensure high production standards for quality and quantity of output. This role provides individual support and encouragement to Program Participants to help them improve their job skills and move to less restrictive work environments. The Job Coach carries out the goals and objectives for each Program Participant, as determined by the Rehabilitation Manager while providing support in company’s rehabilitation process.

Communicate in an honest, polite, and well-intentioned manner.
Do the right thing.
Provide training and model appropriate behaviors for Program Participants that are patient, friendly, kind, and polite, while working in the retail environment.
Monitor and accurately documents individual Program Participant performance, time studies, daily time cards, progress notes, case notes, pre-teaming, monthly checklists, and handbook/participant rights reviews.
Understand and implement the Program Participant’s Individual Written Rehabilitation Plan (IWRP) from the interdisciplinary team to achieve goals and objectives.
Understand and maintain CARF compliance standards, as applicable.
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly during a shift.
Must have 6 months’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or 6 months of Goodwill store retail experience.
Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction. English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
Must possess or be able to obtain: Level I Fingerprint card, Article IX, Prevention and Support, Certified Monitor training, and CPR/First Aid trainings.
When driving a motor vehicle for any work related commitments, must have a valid Arizona driver license and auto insurance, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
Willingness to travel to and from off-site meetings/trainings and transfer to other departments, as requested.
