DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Gaming Regulatory Trainer primary purpose is to be knowledgeable in, and to train Gaming Commission
personnel on, Class II and Class III Gaming, Gaming Regulations, Internal Standard Operating Procedures, and
any new material/topics/games that are relevant to Gila River Gaming. Incumbent maintains training records,
measures training progress and/or areas which need improvement for the Gaming Commission Personnel. Assist
management with ensuring Gaming Commission personnel maintain a standard level of knowledge in rules,
regulations, and operating procedures to be able to monitor and detect cheats, scams, theft, and liability matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identify and assess training needs within the department to ensure the staff is properly trained in all areas of
Gaming, Regulatory Compliance, Cheating Techniques, Theft/Red Flags and use of surveillance equipment
and resources available to them. Meets with the Management Team periodically to determine speci?c training
needs or goals.Provides training and training tools to the department so they are competent in all areas of Gaming, cheating
techniques, theft red ?ags, and the use of Surveillance equipment and resources available to them. Training
consists of one-on-one training, classroom training, E-Learning or small group training with the members of
their shift.Develop, organize, conduct, and evaluate training programs, training activities and interactive presentations
for the department to keep up with current trends in the Casino industry as well as improving/enhancing
existing skills. Assists in reviews of gaming internal controls, policies, and procedures and gaming laws to
?nd areas where training can be applied within the department.Prepares and maintain appropriate training documentation, ?les, records, and reports for department training
and for all department employees on trainings received, test taken, and pro?ciency checklists. Create and
maintain a training records management system, curriculum database, and a training attendance record.
Utilize professional journals, newsletters, webinars, and other publications as well as continued networking
communication with fellow Surveillance professionals and trainers to maintain current training practices and
try to develop new avenues for enhanced training.
0 Perform other job/department related duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor or designated Lead
Supervisor in response to request to other gaming departments.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:0 Working knowledge of casino CCTV digital and non-digital systems and operations.
0 In-depth knowledge and thorough understanding (or ability to acquire within one year) of Gaming
Commission and Gaming Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules
relevant to their responsibilities, such as the following:0 National Indian Gaming Commission (N IGC)

0 Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's using units of

0 Ability to work in a smoking environment, work environment consistent with a Gaming Casino in which the
noise level can be loud to very loud.
0 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Of?cials
and the general public,0 Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position, agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, or Education and
a minimum of two (2) years combined experience in developing training programs, surveillance, and report
writing within a gaming industry, or a minimum of four (4) years equivalent combination of experience in
specialized and general training and casino industry.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to obtain a Tribal Driving permit. Valid state driver’s license with a current proof of driving record for
the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record must be
submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission of the
application.All Gaming Commission employees must be State certi?ed (includes a full background check) as a requirement
of the Gaming Compact and Tribally licensed as a condition of employment. [Slate certi?cation and Tribal
Gaming License are to be renewed on an annual basis.Required to pass a background check.Non-Supervisory, Salaried Position
Reports to Executive Director or designee
