Scope of the Position
Administers full range of associate services in the area of Human Resources. Provides information and referrals to all associates concerning personnel policies, procedures and associate related services. Maintains and enhances a positive associate relations environment.
Assists in planning and implementation of company associate relations programs and activities.
Provides counsel to associates on straightforward associate related issues pertaining to the Associate Handbook and policy interpretation.
Follows-up on all associate(s) concerns.
Maintains frequent contact with associates.
Completes paperwork for matters such as new hires, terminations, job changes, disciplinary actions, associate appraisals, etc.
Maintains the HR information system. Enters new associates into, and removes termination associates from the HRIS system. Maintains associate history files and other related records. Follows proper procedures to ensure the protection of confidential information.
Understands and interprets HR policies and procedures to associates and staff personnel.
Coordinates associate participation in established training courses offered through community schools, professional service providers, and other vendors.
Assists in the recruitment and hiring of all levels of personnel.
Maintains accurate headcount numbers (both fulltime and temporary agency personnel).
May perform new associate orientations.
May represent the organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
Participates in TS16949 internal audits as assigned.
Performs duties in an environmentally responsible manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, or a related field preferred but not required. Three+ years experience in human resources preferred. Five to eight years related experience will be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, financial reports, government regulations and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, associates, or managers. Ability to effectively present information to management and associate groups.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer literate in various windows programs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of current HR laws and ability to keep up-to-date with changes.
