Job Description

The Benefit Administration & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating functions within the department that support the agencys talent management strategy as aligned with the Social Determinants of Health through a trauma-informed care lens.  Provides support and technical assistance in primary areas of employee benefits, wellness programs, employment services, equal employment opportunity, cultural diversity and labor relations.  The Coordinator will support, develop and provide interal communications utilizing various communications platforms to fully engage employees in alignment with the agencys mission, values, and objectives.  May also assist with training of staff.  In collaboration with the Director, Human Resources, will support continuous improvement and coordination of assigned objectives and initiatives.

Skill / Requirements

 Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field required; and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification strongly preferred. 

At least Five (5) years of previous experience in with group health insurance, employee benefits and wellness programs.  Ability to apply creative and technical skills to create professional and engaging materials through a trauma-informed care lens. 

At least Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources specifically with equal opportunity employment, labor relations, cultural diversity and communications.  Experience with handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 

At least Five (5) years of experience in writing, editing and/or internal commications. Demonstrated expereince in communication (orally and in writing) and organizational development.  

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across various levels of an organization.

Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, & Power Point); and proven skills in database management and recordkeeping

High level of accuracy and attention to detail, effective organizational skills, prioritzing multiple tasks and works quickly while meeting and exceeding productivity standards and deadlines.

Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
