Ensign Services, Inc. seeks an HR Generalist to provide human resources support to employees in its Mission Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita Service Centers and to administrative employees working remotely within and outside of California.
About the Company
Ensign Services, Inc. ("ESI") currently serves over 200 health care operations that employ over 25,000 employees across 14 states. These operations have no corporate headquarters or traditional management hierarchy. Instead, they operate independently with support from the "Service Center" - a team of accounting, legal, human resources, benefits, compliance, payroll, construction, training and information technology resources. Service Center employees are dedicated subject matter consultants who guide and advise field leaders in their areas of expertise. This structure allows on-site leaders and caregivers to focus on day-to-day issues in their locations.
About the Opportunity
Responsibilities include providing human resources and support to Service Center employees. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting managers with performance management, onboarding new employees, monitoring annual performance reviews, performing employee relations investigations, and providing guidance and advice on human resources-related concerns and issues. This position is based in Mission Viejo, California.
? Deliver human resources training to management staff
? Prepare and update human resources policies and procedures
? Assist with new hire orientation
? Oversee employee satisfaction and exit interview process and develop action plan in response
? Be a champion of our unique culture and flat organizational structure
? Contribute to or conduct culture building activities and programs
? 2+ years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist position including experience in employee relations
? Working knowledge of state and federal labor law
? PHR or SPHR Certification a plus
? A highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can work independently, but who also functions as a team member
? A positive, flexible and caring personality who displays good judgment, inspires confidence and handles confidential matters with discretion
? An effective communicator, articulate speaker and trainer, and focused listener
? Possesses excellent verbal presentation and writing skills
? Adept at MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint; experience using Workday preferred, but not required and comfortably learn various forms of technology.
