Job Description
As the Training and Development Supervisor, you will facilitate the training and development of exempt and non-exempt, distribution center colleagues and conduct new colleague orientation. You will supervise the daily human resources administrative support including payroll, recruiting and all other activities of the assigned functional area.

As the Training and Development Supervisor, you will also be responsible for managing the training program for all new and existing associates and assessing current training needs in each department to assure consistent application throughout the DC. This would include both RX and FS.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
* Utilizing a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to determine issues with training and to resolve those issues long term.
* Administering policies/procedures to trainers in a consistent manner. Professionally address issues with trainers and employees utilizing the proper resources.
* Operating in a safe, neat, and orderly manner.
* Training new trainers
* Covering orientation introductions and paperwork
* Keeping pool of trainers full
* Tracking required paperwork for training
* Working with the Leadership team in identifying when more training is required for individuals
* PUMPS in order to direct training needs
* Working with HR to assign trainers to new associates
* Working with AP to determine safety standards
* Ensuring trainers are aware of their assignments and prepared to meet the new associate on day one
* Making training packets for new trainers as needed
* Holding one on one meetings or group meetings as needed with trainers
* Communicating with management when there are issues and corrections to the program required
* Working with supervisors to determine individual or department training needs
* Working closely with leadership and Industrial engineer to assure standards are accurate and to assist employees through the trainers to meet the standards
* Covering operations departments as needed
* Working with Ops Excellence admin to develop reporting related to turnover and retention
* Physical Demands: Can require extensive use stairs, walking, bending, office sitting
* Work Environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment and conveyors and ability to tolerate heights

Required Qualifications
* 2+ years of prior supervisory experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
* Must pass D.E.A. and State background check as required.
* Ability to work hours to address training on all shifts

Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to train others in a classroom environment
* Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word working knowledge
* Comfortable interacting with all levels of management and associates
* Strong organizational skills

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
