CVS Kidney Care is hiring in Phoenix, AZ!

Join our team as a Benefit Verification Specialist ensuring that patients' health care benefits cover required medication and/or procedures by contacting the patient's insurance company to verify coverage levels and working with individuals to educate them on their benefits information.

CVS Kidney Care is a new, strategic partnership with Satellite Healthcare, to help advance the care of patients with kidney disease. As a part of the Patient Services team, you will be responsible for managing the patient care process by assisting patients with coordinating their financial and healthcare benefits services.

In this role you will serve as a liaison between patients, social workers and billing office to resolve patient insurance issues or concerns. The team provides monthly updates detailing statistics and status of patient populations to leadership. Benefit Verification Specialists also work closely with the Accounts Receivable Managers and Finance Team on various analysis projects. The primary goal of the Benefit Verification Specialist is to deliver excellent customer care within a professional atmosphere.

Required Qualifications
* 12+ months of experience in Healthcare benefit verification role

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with hospital ICD-9 coding, discharge coordination process, outpatient admission procedures and benefit authorizations
* Experience with Commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, COBRA and other HMO/PPO insurance products
* Prior related healthcare experience in dialysis and/or kidney care
* Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
* Certification in medical coding

Education
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
