Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Cultivate and execute all health and safety efforts in the workplace according to legal guidelines, while working closely and cooperatively with other Company personnel. Develop and maintain a highly productive, dependable and efficient safety methodology and culture within the Company. 


Follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Follow and ensure organizational compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
  • Monitor health and safety efforts of ANS employees. Coordinate health and safety inspections and
  • correct unsafe acts and conditions. Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and
  • adherence to the law
  • Coordinate, oversee and maintain health and safety specific trainings.
  • Coordinate insurance company and governmental agency visits, if applicable.
  • Interpret OSHA regulations as they pertain to ANS operations.
  • Provide the executive team with monthly and quarterly health and safety goals, awareness, issues and
  • statistics.
  • Create a health and safety awareness attitude amongst all ANS departments. Prepare and enforce policies
  • to establish a culture of health and safety. Enforce ANS health and safety policies using the Company’s
  • disciplinary policy.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and managers so that necessary personal protective equipment and safety
  • materials are utilized. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
  • Investigate all injuries and review all accident reports, discover causes and coordinate corrective
  • measures with ANS employees.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
  • Lead the indoctrination of new and existing ANS employees into safety program and culture.
  • Preserve health and safety aspects of the facility through continuous learning and a strong work ethic.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Skill / Requirements


Minimum Requirements:


  • Supervisory experience of multiple direct and indirect reports is preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of safety management experience.
  • No certifications or licenses required.
  • Must have complex math skills.
  • Complex reading skills required.
  • Complex computer skills needed.
  • Must have complex language skills.
  • Must have complex writing skills.
  • Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or
  • without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to self or others.
  • Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or
  • unexpected absence.
