General Description of Duties: The two primary duties of this position are to coordinate and facilitate the recruitment and hiring of Associate employees, and to provide job coaching to all employees with disabilities, and train supervisors, lead staff and Associate Trainers to effectively train and support Associate employees with disabilities working at FLETC. Coordinates recruiting efforts of new Associate employees with disabilities to include developing recruiting strategies, developing relationship with DVR, provider agencies, state agencies and others that may or will be resources to find employees. Provides leadership, guidance, training, coaching and other assistance to all FLETC staff to ensure that the proper supports are provided to facilitate the successful job performance of Associate employees at FLETC. Maintains a balance between the two primary job functions per the guidance of the Project Manager to achieve the objectives of both.
Education And Training: High School diploma or equivalent. Four years experience in responsible positions. Two years experience in recruitment, communications, or related field and/or training preferred. One year experience training adults with disabilities strongly preferred. One-year basic computer experience preferred. Must be skilled in tact and patience to deal with difficult customers and/or clients. Must have the ability to learn and administer the commensurate wage program, based on Section 14 c of Federal Wage and Hour regulations under the FLSA. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.
Other Requirements: Must pass background check (Mandatory finger printing and screening by State of NM and FBI) and drug screen. Must possess a valid NM driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance. Must be able to obtain security clearance as required. May be required to pass a Suitability Check conducted by the Government Protective Services for the Dept. of Health and Human Services. Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop, and operate required equipment continuously. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
