Quality Compliance Manager

Nammo Composite Solutions, owned by Nammo Talley, Inc. is an engineering and composite manufacturing company with more than 20 years of operation. Our facility is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified professional individual to fill the role of Quality Systems Manager. The chosen candidate will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of quality compliance for AS9100D, NADCAP and internal quality systems, while being the primary interface with quality organizations, both external and internal.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Control and maintain quality compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP quality systems.
  • Maintain and support improvement of our QMS while monitoring and guiding effective usage
  • Create, implement and continuously improve department standards to assure alignment to the QMS, system compliance success and customer requirements.
  • Generate and review metrics, trends, action plans, preventive action plans, analyze misses, and risk & opportunities management.Set goals and align metrics to business strategies.Collect, review, communicate and report quality performance data.
  • Collaborate with other functional organizations and business segments to assure strategic objectives are met.
  • Provide technical, budget and scope information to support proposal preparation as required.
  • Drive timely and clear communication and recommendations.Drive data based decision making.
  • Management of direct reports to accomplish responsibilities (1-2 personnel)
  • Manage and conduct internal audits
  • Manage calibration procedures and tracking
  • Manage and report on internal CARs System.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):
  • BS/BA Degree Required.
  • Engineering-Sciences degree with 5+ years of experience within a Quality Assurance/Engineering Organization preferred
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (AS9100, NADCAP_ a major preference
  • Ability to work independently in complex environments.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and manufacturing concepts related to quality control.
  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid accurate conclusions.
  • Ability to lead a team towards improving and maintaining existing quality systems a must
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio. Familiarity with solid modeling software (i.e. Solid Edge/SolidWorks) 3D model and 2D drawing creation.
  • The roles requires excelling interaction and communication skills with the ability to work closely with both internal and external customers including government agencies such as DCMA and QAR
