Enterprise Information Security’s (EIS) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading cyber security risk management. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargo’s infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws.  EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

The Wholesale Identity and Access Management Team is hiring a Role Based Access Controls Operational Risk Consultant.  The preferred locations are Chandler (AZ) or Charlotte (NC).

The ideal candidate will have experience developing Role Based Access Control (RBAC) entitlements, implementing role resolution, role mining and role administration.


  • Pull queries of Access Certification Tool (ACT) and Identity Access Management Enterprise Solution (IES) data, as well as Human Resources (HR) data in support of role profile construction & maintenance for Wholesale lines of business.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of role profiles and provisioning instructions
  • Support analysis of and removal of excess access entitlements within the Wholesale organization, as part of open SHRP issue with an attached corrective action.
  • Support privileged access monitoring and elevated internet access monitoring /remediation within the Wholesale organization.
  • Work with assigned business units, participating in projects and initiatives with moderate risk.
  • Analyze and take action to maintain application compliance
  • May provide support for systems security-related issues.
  • Perform quality reviews and validation throughout remediation effort life cycle.
  • Partner with Analytics Consultants to identify data.
  • Provide ongoing reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), IT systems security, business process management, or financial services, demonstrated through work or military; or a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field
  • 1+ year of IAM (Identity and Access Management) experience
  • 1+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of IAM (Identity and Access Management)
  • Ability to identify risk factors and provide alternatives to mitigate
  • Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change
  • Knowledge and understanding of IAM (Identity and Access Management) lifecycle and governance
  • Knowledge and understanding of Access Request Tool (ART)
  • Knowledge and understanding of information security principles, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with enterprise access  provisioning processes & tools (ART, 1CAC, SPARS, Request Center)
  • Understanding of Information Security practices and policies
  • Knowledge of enterprise procurement processes & tools (Request Center, WANDA)
  • Experience evaluating access requests related to Role Based Access Methodology
