Job Description
The Benefits Verification Manager is to be responsible for process improvement, and organizing, directing, and controlling the activities of the Benefits Verification department to ensure patient benefits are verified in accordance to the company guidelines and that patient expectations are met to achieve exceptional customer service and business profitability.

You will need to have superb management and business process skills to direct the management team with respect to medical insurance requirements, customer service and pharmacy operations. You will be accountable for service performance, customer satisfaction and financial performance and must have a proven track record of successful outcomes with responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, healthcare providers, and/or members.

The Manager will provides effective leadership and direction to all direct reports while managing and fostering a dynamic and progressive work environment characterized by high integrity, productivity, quality and a commitment to excellence and respect. He/She will coordinate staffing needs for the department in collaboration with recruiting and human resources.

Other responsibilities include:

* Assisting with implementation of new pharmacy programs

* Facilitating communication for problem resolution and changes occurring in the organization, within Specialty Pharmacy or with other departments that may impact the Benefits Verification department.

* Communicating with managers and directors of other departments to discuss cross-departmental issues and identify potential solutions.



Required Qualifications
* Five years of healthcare or related experience.
* Five years operational leadership experience managing multiple teams.

* Proficient experience in Excel

* Knowledge of Pharmacy Regulations.
* Experience in prescription and major medical benefits related to pharmacy products.
* Experience in a high intensity healthcare organization.
* Attention to customer focus to ensure patients are responded to with accurate and timely information.


Preferred Qualifications
Specialty pharmacy or mail service pharmacy experience.

Education
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
