Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Katy is seeking an experienced and professional HR/AP Manager to join our team of committed and dedicated clinical and non-clinical professionals. 

Human Resources (HR)/Accounts Payable (AP) Manager

Shift: Day

Hours: Full Time

The primary purpose of you job position is to assist in the day-to-day accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable human resources, accounting and Cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the day-to-day functions of the HR and accounting department. 
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an adequate accounting system that reflects the operating cost of the facility.
  • Coach and advise personnel and managers 
  • Conduct pre-employment and background screening
  • Manage Leave of Absence requests and processing
  • Ensure AAP and EEO compliance and reporting
  • Maintain and update human resource records, forms, and policies 
  • Maintain HRIS - Data entry into Enterprise of all Personnel changes and reports


  • Must have, as a minimum, 2-3 year(s) experience in HR with bookkeeping or accounting practices. 
  • Experience in healthcare or a skilled nursing facility highly preferred
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
