    CLASSIFICATION

    HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYST – Substitute Office

    SUMMARY
    Provides professional human resources services to District sites and departments. Analyzes and makes recommendations to change or improve District practices related to human resources. Coordinates centralized human resources activities and processes. Researches and resolves issues related to human resources.

    This Human Resources Analyst position in the Substitute Office will manage and be responsible for all functions related to substitute assignments including but not limited to: data entry into substitute computer program, delivering weekly substitute orientations, payroll submissions, and overall substitute management.
    Arranges for substitute personnel for temporary replacement of teachers and special education teacher assistants.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

    One year of human resources, or business management experience.

    Excellent customer service skills.

    Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.

    Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

    Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
    Four years of administrative experience to include experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll

    Experience working with absence management software such as Aesop

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
    FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).

    Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

    PROGRAMMATIC FUNCTIONS
    Post vacant and long-term substitute assignments and monitors daily absences.

    Maintains the integrity of the absence management system by entering and updating data, backing up files, etc.

    Reviews and corrects any discrepancies in assignments.

    Prepares reports from absence management program.

    Data entry of substitute information into District’s computerized systems, manages substitute payroll records including processing hire and termination transactions.

    Responsible for resolving substitute teacher payroll problems.

    Conducts mini information sessions for new substitutes regarding payroll and the use of the absence management system.

    Participates in larger orientation sessions for substitute teachers and explains the Arizona certification process, TUSD District policy and application process.

    Serves as a liaison between district staff and substitute staff.

    Maintains back-up files and does purges of files from absence management system as necessary.
