•Responsible for all nonexempt payroll and payroll activities such as reconcile Time Off Adjustments, run non-exempt payroll, manage non-exempt outstanding checks (roughly 1,000 employees), funding wires, check printing, etc.
•Run payroll cycles, research, and resolve out of balance situations.
•Balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies (cycle balancing).
•Resource for all employee Timekeeping inquiries (Timekeeper ).
•FLSA compliance subject matter expert and resource for hourly nonexempt employee Payroll inquiries.
•Responsible for timekeeping reconciliations (vacation and EVT, transfers, etc.).
•Performs testing, data analytics and projects to support Payroll Manager.
•Back up to HR Services and Tax Analyst.
•Accountable for the accuracy of the payroll processing data submitted by HR Services, training and educating associates if needed.
•Maintain good relationship with all internal users/clients.
•Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
•Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•Meets payroll standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
•Meets financial standards by identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. Oversees the accurate updates of records by reviewing changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid-time not worked, status, and pay; calculating vacation earned.
•Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
•4-6 years’ experience processing multi-state, high-volume domestic payroll.
•Working knowledge of payroll best practices, with a strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, FLSA and a full understanding of sensitive and confidential information.
•Strong PC skills, including advanced Excel ability.
•Ability to multitask, prioritize, and function with a high degree of professionalism and integrity in an energetic, demanding team environment.
•Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills, at all levels.
•Advanced decision making, problem solving, and analytical ability.
•Working knowledge of Workday Payroll and Time a plus.
•Global 3rd party payroll experience a plus. #LI-JB1
