    SUMMARY
    Provides human resources benefit services to district employees, retirees, and separated employees. Advises
    and interprets routine benefit regulations for the district. Researches human resources information to resolve
    benefit issues. Collaborates with district staff and others to ensure that customer service is met. Trains new
    employees within assigned functional area as needed.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- DEPENDING ON ASSIGNED FUNCTIONAL AREA
    Four years administrative or Human Resources experience, which includes benefits and basic
    bookkeeping/accounting experience.
    Knowledge of and ability to use word processing, HRIS/ERP database, spreadsheet programs, publication
    software, email program and scheduling software.
    Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
    Excellent customer service skills.
    Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend
    written/graphic and oral instructions.
    Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

    Additional Minimum Requirements Per Assignment Area
    Insurance Benefits: Working knowledge of government regulations that relate to employee insurance benefits.
    Retirement Benefits: Working knowledge of government regulations that relate to employee retirement benefits
    and the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
    Leave Benefits: Working knowledge of Federal FMLA regulations

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
    FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
    Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
